En una medida decisiva para proteger los derechos de los animales, la Municipalidad de Talagante, encabezada por el alcalde Sebastián Rosas Guerrero, anunció la creación de la Defensoría Municipal de Mascotas, un servicio que brindará representación judicial en casos graves de maltrato animal.
El anuncio se realizó tras una multitudinaria marcha ciudadana en apoyo a Tony, un perro de Lonquén víctima de una brutal agresión que fue ampliamente difundida en redes sociales.
